Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is typically the one throwing passes when his team gets near the goal line.
But against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Stafford was on the receiving end of a pass from receiver Tutu Atwell for a successful 2-point conversion, cutting the Cowboys lead to 33-17 with 11:29 left in the third quarter.

The successful conversion punctuated a seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive capped by a 20-yard touchdown pass from Stafford to receiver Ben Skowronek. It was also the second straight touchdown scored by the Rams after falling behind 33-3 with 2:27 left in the second quarter.
Had it counted toward the stat sheet, it would have been the third reception of Stafford’s career and the first pass attempt of Atwell’s. Stafford had one catch for three yards in 2012 and another for minus-six yards in 2015, both with the Detroit Lions.
Dallas added a 27-yard field goal on the subsequent drive, pushing its lead to 36-17 in the final two minutes of the third quarter.
