Rhys Hoskins’ new helmet gets meme treatment

Rhys Hoskins is going with the “safety first” look as he makes his return from a recent jaw injury, and it’s leading to quite the reaction from social media.

The Philadelphia Phillies phenom was back in the lineup on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers and sported a helmet with double protective flaps.

Hoskins, who was just activated from the 10-day disabled list with a fractured jaw he suffered when he fouled a ball off his face, got the last laugh, though. He homered, singled and drove in three runs on the afternoon. Something tells us that his new helmet is probably here to stay.
