Michigan has been home to the football world for the last four months, with the Wolverines winning the National Championship and then the NFL team, the Detroit Lions, going to the NFC title game.
On Friday night, the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft were from Detroit, and before the event kicked off, the NFL honored the 2023 Michigan Wolverines for their 15-0 season and winning it all.
Many current players took the stage holding the National Championship trophy, but one who left the program a few months ago could be coming back very soon.
Pete Nakos from On3.com says, “Ole Miss cornerback Amorion Walker is expected to re-enter the transfer portal.”
Nakos also states,” He transferred from Michigan earlier this offseason. The Wolverines are expected to be the team to watch”.

During his two seasons at Michigan, Amorion Walker made his mark on the field, appearing in 11 games. His contributions included three tackles and zero interceptions, and after the season, Walker transferred to the SEC to play for Ole Miss.
Walker’s desire to return to the Wolverines is a little shocking, but at the same time, Michigan saw one of their cornerbacks, DJ Waller Jr., enter the portal earlier this week.
Waller was up to compete for a starting job, so maybe Walker saw this and realized there was a spot home for him back at the school where he started his career.
